COMPUTER and EYES
How Can I Protect My Eyes from the Computer?
Computer -related eye strain is a common workplace complaint, as many employees spend full shifts in front of a computer without a break. In addition to causing eye strain which can lead to squinting, dry eyes, and general discomfort, prolonged periods in front of a computer can lead to other physical stresses as well, if the environment is not ergonomically arranged. Always set up your workspace to protect your eyes, along with the rest of the body, because it will keep you healthier and more productive.
There are a number of steps you can take to to protect your eyes so that you will not feel strained and tired when you arrive home from work.
To begin with, make sure that your workspace is arranged in a way that will protect your eyes. The ambient light level should be low and diffused, with no glare. Keep windows to the side of you, rather than directly ahead or behind, to minimize glare. Also adjust the brightness of your computer screen to protect your eyes; your screen's lighting should match the general light level in the room, without being too bright or too dim. Try bringing up a blank word processing document and looking at the screen. If the white of the page is glowing, your screen is too bright. If it is dingy, the screen is not bright enough. Also set up your desk so that your screen is approximately 20-26 inches (50-66 centimeters) away from you, and slightly below eye level. If you work with paper documents, protect your eyes by keeping them at the same level as your computer screen, so that your eyes do not have to constantly readjust.
During your working day, protect your eyes by looking away from the screen to a distant point approximately every 10 minutes. Every half hour, take a full break, stepping away from the computer to walk and stretch. This will protect your eyes and your body, preventing you from slumping into poor posture which may lead to back pain and repetitive stress injury. Make sure to blink frequently, and use artificial tears or eye drops if your eyes start to feel dry. If the screen is hard to read, try resizing the text or changing the resolution to make it easier to read.
You should also protect your eyes by getting an annual eye exam if you work with computers. During the exam, an optometrist can check on the health of your eyes and talk with you about ways to protect your eyes at work. You may, for example, need a special glasses prescription for computer work. An annual eye exam will also catch any serious problems with your optical health early.

Meditation about healing
Every cell in Prachi's body is one with God's mighty, healing presence.
The presence of God is the one power in her life, a healing presence that gives her energy and strength and a renewed sense of her oneness with the Creator.
She needs to be healed....
I take a moment to become still and feel God's healing power..with Prachi.... ...
The life of God is a real presence in every cell of her body, a presence that restores health and sparks renewal wherever it is needed... ...
In perfect order, the life of God works from the inside out, healing every cell, organ, and system of her body. In the silence, she can feel her oneness with God's healing presence as she is being renewed.
Every cell in her body radiates with the energy and life of God that is working in and through her.... ...
One with God's mighty presence, she is healed. She is whole, well, and renewed.
THANKS GOD

A CHEERFUL ATTITUDE IS LIKE GOOD MEDICINE
And today I am really very happy - (from my friend Jola))
A GRATEFUL SPIRIT
The condition of the mind greatly influences our physical health.
Research has shown that the brain and immune system communicate with each other. This could explain why
a grateful spirit and a positive mental attitude helps the body fight off disease and recover more quickly from illness.
Happiness is like perfume, you can't pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself (from my friend Pankaj)
In a study conducted in Minnesota, the positive emotions of joy and contentment were strongly correlated with longevity in nuns.
People with anxieties and chronic stress in their lives often experience recurring headaches, back-aches, allergy outbreaks, or other ailments which resolve when the anxiety or stress is eliminated.
Mental illness is often associated with poor physical health.
Solomon tells us that
a cheerful attitude is like good medicine (Proverbs 17:22).
Health is strongly enhanced by cultivating a spirit of gratitude and praise.

GOD of ALL MOTHERS, THANK YOU for my MOM !
Why are you crying, a young boy asked his Mom?
"Because I'm a woman," she told him.
"I don't understand," he said.
His Mom just hugged him and said,
"And you never will, but that's O.K.".......
Later the little boy asked his father,
"Why does Mom seem to cry for no reason?".
"All women cry for no reason," was all his Dad could say......
The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.
Finally he put in a call to God and when God got back to him, he asked
"God, why do women cry so easily?"
GOD answered......
"When I made woman, I decided she had to be special.
I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet, made her arms gentle enough to give comfort...
I gave her the inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times will come even from her own children.
I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going and take care of her family and friends, even when everyone else gives up, through sickness and fatigue without complaining....
I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances. Even when her child has hurt her badly....
She has the very special power to make a child's boo-boo feel better and to quell a teenager's anxieties and fears....
I gave her strength to care for her husband, despite faults and I fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart....
I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly....
For all of this hard work, I also gave her a tear to shed. It is hers to use whenever needed and ! it is her only weakness....
When you see her cry, tell her how much you love her, and all she does for everyone, and even though she may still cry, you will have made her heart feel good.
She is special! Please send this to women you know, and those with mothers, sisters, and special women in their lives.
But, also send this to men so they will understand about what a wonderful thing a woman is. Each day is a mountain that must be climbed; with courage each step gets easier.

The Seeds of Change
The thoughts that you have in your mind are similar to the seeds a farmer plants in his field.
Consider the fertile soil of a farmer’s field. The farmer decides what crop he wants to grow and then he plants the appropriate seeds. The ground in which he plants the seeds has no choice but to produce the very crop that the farmer has planted…be it corn, wheat, barley, or weeds. The ground doesn’t debate, challenge or try to change the seed. Its only role is to embrace the seed, nurture its growth and produce the crop. The same can be said about the thoughts you plant in your mind.
You, like the farmer, are a planter of seeds. Your seeds, however, are of a psychological nature. In your case, these are the seeds of thought and behavior. While the farmer plants his seeds in the ground, you plant in your seeds in your mind. And just as the type of seed the farmer plants in the earth determines what he produces in his field, the kinds of thoughts that you plant in your mind determine what you produce in your life.
If you plant seeds of negativism, self-doubt and apprehension, you produce a life full of fear, frustration and helplessness. On the other hand, if you plant seeds that are positive, hopeful and strong, you produce a much healthier, happier and successful life. You can’t continue to plant seeds of doubt and failure in your mind and expect to produce the successful life you dream of.
Think about that as you wander through your day today!
What kind of seeds are you planting?
