PURPOSE OF MONODIETING

The purpose of monodieting is twofold.
The first purpose is to use as little energy as possible on digestion so that energy can be freed and directed toward the cleansing and rejuvenation of the lymph system.
The second purpose of monodieting is to obtain the maximum amount of fuel and nutrients from the food being eaten.
Raw food fulfills these two purposes of monodieting better than cooked or processed food. http://unblock22.blogspot.com/2006/09/ten-advantages-of-eating-raw-human.html Raw food demands less energy to digest and provides the most nutrients because it is in its purest state, its nature state. ANY cooking of food removes or denatures some nutrients .Bear in mind that human beings are the only species that eats cooked food, and humans lead all species in degenerative diseases.
What is periodic monodieting?
Periodic monodieting is the eating of fresh fruits and/or vegetables and their juices, uncooked, for a length of time that ranges from one day to several weeks.
Three examples of possible monodiets:

1.Drinking only fresh fruit and vegetable juice for 1 to 3 days.
2. Drinking only fresh fruit and vegetable juices and eating whole fruits and vegetables for 3 to 5 days.
3. Drinking only fresh fruit and vegetable juices and eating only fresh fruits and vegetables and salads for 1 day to a week to 10 days.

The following three monodiets are examples only, not dictums. Follow them precisely or modify them to your likes and dislikes. The only hard-and-fast rule is: NOTHING COOKED.
In other words, periodic monodieting is the taking of any combination of any raw, fresh food or juice for whatever length of time you wish.
When you are monodieting, you are allowing your body to be cleansed. You are cleaning and rejuvenating your lymph system.
You are preventing disease.

Spring is perfect to start cleaning the body.

EXERCISE and THE LYMPH SYSTEM FUNCTION

Get my banner code or create your own banner

Before you pass up this post with something like, "Yeah, yeah, I should exercise. I know. I’ll read this later", just read a little of it now, please. Later has a funny way of turning into never.
The relationship between a healthy life and regular exercise is irrefutable. Consider the fact, for example, that exercisers have an all-cause mortality rate that is less than one-third that of nonexercisers. Moreover, some form of regular physical activity, even if it’s a very mild form of activity, is crucial for vibrant health. Here’s why:
EXERCISE HELPS YOUR LYMPH SYSTEM FUNCTION at an optimal level.
Unlike the cardiovascular system, which has at its center the heart acting as a pomp to keep the flow of blood going, the lymph system has no such pomp. But lymph fluid must constantly be flowing throughout the body, in the same way that blood must constantly be flowing throughout the body.
Remember, there is three times more lymph fluid in your body than blood.
What is it that does for the lymph system what the heart does for the cardiovascular system?
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY. EXERCISE!
The flow of lymph through the body is also helped by the muscles in the walls of lymph vessels and by respiration (breathing in and out), but the important contribution of exercise cannot be overstated.
This information should put the need for regular physical activity in a whole new light.
How often have you heard, or even said yourself, "I know I need to exercise, but… . "
Let’s face it, there are probably many reasons, physical, emotional, and psychological, why people don’t exercise. It’s not necessary to delve into all the reasons. What is important is to somehow get those people who are the most sedentary sufficiently motivated to do at least something.
If you are already doing some form of exercise, no matter how little or how much, that’s fine.
You don’t have to join a gym or take aerobics classes. Really, I’m not suggesting you become a world-class athlete. But I will tell you this, and I won’t soften what I’m about to say. Are you serious about doing what you can to live a vibrantly, healthy life free of the pain, anguish, and suffering that disease can cause?
If your answer is yeas, and you are serious, and I mean Really serious, than you must do everything you can to keep your lymph system operating at its highest possible efficiency, and some form of regular physical exercise is a major contributing factor in that effort. Period! There is no way around it.
EXERCISE is THE KEY.

What is The Immune System?

Without it, we would all be forced to live in sterile environments, never touching each other, never feeling a spring breeze, never tasting rain. The immune system is that complex operation within our bodies that keeps us healthy and disease-free.

YOGA CAN PROVIDE RELIEF FOR CHRONICALLY ILL.

Patients with chronic illnesses are finding that yoga provides some relief from their symptoms, according to a report in the New York Times. Whether it is AIDS, cancer, osteoporosis, or Crohn's disease, patients suffering from these chronic disorders find that there are specific yoga exercises that help them cope with their symptoms. While doctors may recomend yoga classes for general stress reduction, many patients are finding that yoga helps lessen their symptoms and the side effects of their medications. Often patients are in classes with others having similar conditions, so that an element of social support is also present.Although not a cure for these diseases, studies have found that yoga does have significant impact upon the experience of the maladies. It can reduce fatigue in those with multiple sclerosis, lower anxiety in patients with cancer, heart disease or hypertension, and improve sleep in patients with chronic insomnia.
